National Cookie Month

National+Cookie+Month
Violet Simpson

The month of October is the month of many things, including National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, National ADHD Awareness Month, and even National LGBTQ+ History Month, but you probably haven’t heard that October is also National Cookie Month! On top of October mostly being known as a spooky season because of Halloween, it is also known for the fall sweets associated with Halloween and candy. I think National Cookie Month falls in nicely with October. However, it is unknown who created this month and when it was created. National Cookie Month celebrates all kinds of cookies, like chocolate chip cookies, raisin oatmeal cookies, snickerdoodles, shortbread cookies, and more. There are many ways to celebrate National Cookie Month. You can try to bake a pan of cookies, eat a pan of cookies, or even share a pan of cookies with family and friends.

Some of Lena’s favorite cookies, in order, are:
Extra Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Chewy M&M Cookies
Macarons
Frosted Sugar Cookies
Regular Sugar Cookies

Some of Violet’s favorite cookies, in order, are:
Macarons

Domino’s Brownie Cookies

Here are the recipes if you are interested in making some of these cookies in honor of National Cookie Month:

Violet was born in Birmingham, Alabama surrounded by her family, until her father got his dream job offer and moved to La Crescenta. She loves to write fiction with aspects of fantasy and horror stories, but when writing non-fiction, a simple research paper is her default. Since moving she’s become quite attached to the city, but still takes every chance she can to go and visit her family back south.
