Art Club
Lucie Baha

Art club, which takes place in Ms. Maynes’s room, meets at lunch every Thursday to do art activities, talk with friends, and have fun. “I’m glad students have a place where they can feel comfortable and be creative,” Ms. Maynes says. The Art Club started as an idea between a few friends, and now is a very big club. Sometimes, Ms. Maynes will give them a fun project, like designing posters. This club is for all, experienced and beginners.

Though the Art Club does not have the most luxurious supplies, they still manage to create beautiful drawings. Yuna Cho, a seventh grader, founded the club along with a few friends, to have a nice place to hang out and draw. A member added, “I joined this club because I like to express myself by art.” Lately, Art Club has been working on posters to promote it. So, next time you want to draw and have fun at the same time, come and visit the Art Club.
