Halloween Costume Ideas And How to Make Them

Halloween+Costume+Ideas+And+How+to+Make+Them

Now that Halloween is coming up a lot of people are getting their costumes ready. If you don’t know what to wear, don’t worry because we have made a list of costumes you can do, and how to make them. Make sure you have spray paint and some gorilla glue or a hot glue gun for these costumes since they will come in handy a lot.
1. Barbienheimer

IGN Nordic

If you want to go as everyone is going this year go as Barbie. All you need for this is bright clothes and make sure it’s pink if you’re going as Barbie. If you’re going as Ken it’s pretty much the same thing but light blue. But let’s say you don’t want to be wearing pink during Halloween then you can go as Oppenheimer. For this costume, you will need a regular suit and tie and a fedora. Make sure that most of this is either dark brown or black since it’s the only way it will work. But let’s say you want to combine both well all you need to do is just do the Oppenheimer costume but with bright colors. There isn’t much you can mess up for this one.

2. Mortal Kombat

ScreBro PSU

Now that a new Mortal Kombat game came out last month, it’s a perfect time to dress up as the fire and ice ninjas that caused video games to have an age rating. If you are going in a group of two, a good trio of characters to go with is Smoke, Sub Zero, and Scorpion since they are all part of the same clan in the new game. A Smoke costume is pretty expensive so the best way to make his costume is to get a regular ninja costume, spray paint it gray, cut the sleeves off, and spray paint a Sub-zero mask gray. For Sub-Zero you can do the same with smoke except you paint the costume blue and the mask black and make sure you have some silver paint for the silver parts on his mask(You can also use craft foam for the mask). Scorpion’s costume is relatively easy since his look in Mortal Kombat 1 looks very similar to his look in Mortal Kombat 11. All you have to do is get a Mortal Kombat 11 scorpion costume, take the hood off, and get a better Scorpion mask if you want. There you go, now you have Mortal Kombat costumes that should be pretty good.
3. The Last Of Us

The good news this is probably the easiest costume you can make or go as. You just need to get a green shirt, Blue jeans, and a brown backpack with many survival tools in it. All you need to do for Ellie is to find the clothes she wears in the show and game and you are done. You can do this for every other character in the show. There isn’t much to mess up for this one

4. Beetlejuice

IMDB

Now if you think of iconic Halloween costumes one of the first things that comes to mind is Beetlejuice. Now Beetlejuice is wearing clown makeup and a black and white suit. First, you get a black and white striped suit and dirty it up a little to make it look more accurate. Then you get white face paint put it on your face and then you get some black eyeshadow, a green wig and you’re done. The only thing you can mess up in this costume is the makeup.

5. Spider-Verse

Collider (Sony Pictures Animation)

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse came out this year which means you can go as anyone from the movie. You could go with a cheap costume from Spirit Halloween or Party City or you can make a cool-looking costume since Spider-Man costumes are pretty straightforward to make. For Miles, you need a black spandex bodysuit(make sure there isn’t a mask attached to it), a black spandex mask, red acrylic paint, red spray paint, and some D.I.Y Spider-Man eyes you can find on Amazon. Make sure you have multiple images for him since that will help you get the most accurate version of the suit. For the body take the red spray paint and try to make his emblem as best as you can. When you are done with that spray paint the palms of the hands to the armpit. Once you get to the armpit spray paint the side of the body suit until you get to the knee. For the mask take the eyes paint the borders red with your acrylic paint and let it dry for a while. After that make sure you have eyes cut out in the mask for you to see through. Use your glue to attach the eyes to the mask and make sure to put something like cardboard in the mask or an old Captain America shield you used to play with as a kid in the mask so the glue doesn’t seep through. You should now have a Miles Morales Spider-Man suit. For something easier go with the Spot which is just a white spandex bodysuit and black spray paint which you will use to spray paint random black circles. Don’t worry about messing these costumes up since the only thing that you could mess up on this costume is the emblem.
Now you have a whole list of costumes to go as. Yes, it probably won’t look that great in the end but it is a bigger improvement over the costumes in Party City.
