Teacher Profile: Ms. Riehl

Carla Riehl

Who is Ms. Riehl? Ms. Riehl is the Drama and Stage and Video Production teacher here at Rosemont, as well as the sponsor of the Got Faith Club. She has been teaching at Rosemont for 16 years, and has never taught at any other schools. Before she taught at Rosemont, she got a college degree in theatre, and had an entire career as a performer. She sang commercial jingles for dog food companies as well as McDonalds, and she did voiceover work for characters on commercials for a while. Afterwards, she became a recording artist for a couple years, writing, recording, and performing gospel music on tour. She was also a part of an improv group which performed ComedySportz and improv games. When Ms. Riehl got bored being on the road all the time, she “semi-retired” and decided to work on with children using the teaching credential she had put aside from college. Since then, she has taught at Rosemont. Ms. Riehl’s hobbies mostly include being outdoors, including hiking, gardening, and traveling. When asked what advice she would give to the students at Rosemont, she said, “Get an education, and do what you love because you love it, not because you want to be a star.”
