The 8th-grade trip to Universal is coming up soon in May. 8th graders have already received the permission form they must get signed by their parent or guardian to go. After February 16th, students must turn in the permission forms to the attendance office. The 8th graders will come to school on May 3rd during lunch, from 1-1:30 pm. They can eat at home before coming to school or eat at the school cafeteria. Students will go to their 7th period class before 1:35, where their teachers will take attendance for the day. They will then board the buses to Universal Studios at about 2 pm. The 8th graders will take buses back to Rosemont at around midnight and will be back by 1 am.
Students will arrive at Universal at around 3 pm. They can explore the park and go on different rides until 8 pm when there will be a “special event” or private party, “Universal Studios Hollywood Jr. Grad Bash”. This event is reserved for 8th grade students of Rosemont and other middle schools. There will be music, dancing, food, and access to the park’s rides and attractions. Every student will receive a meal voucher for a combo meal and beverage at most restaurants in the park. They will also get a souvenir drawstring backpack. Students can bring additional money for any souvenirs or food they want to buy.
