The chess club is a fun Rosemont club that meets every Wednesday at lunch in Ms. Goulas’s room, room . 6204. The club is a fun and safe place for 7th and 8th graders to enjoy their lunch and a game of chess whether it is with a long time friend, or someone they just met. 

   Though this club is not meant for people that have never played chess before, and more of a place to play chess, there will always be someone that is willing to explain the rules to you and teach you to playAlso, most of the people that attend the chess club don’t play rated chess, but you will not have trouble finding a worthy opponent.

   Austin, who is a consistent member of the chess club said that “The chess club is a nice place to hang out with friends”. He also mentioned that there are free chess boards to play on, though it is recommended that you bring your own, just in case there are not enough for everyone who wants to participate. As a last resort, you can always play against one of the other club members online through a chess website such as chess.com.
