Who is Mrs. Tanabe? Mrs. Tanabe is the new Japanese teacher who is working in Rosemont. She graduated from Nagahama High School in Japan, and has a Bachelor of Arts degree at California State University, Northridge.
Before being a teacher in Rosemont, she was a substitute Japanese teacher at Dunsmore Elementary School, and she used to work at a Japanese after-school program called Seiko Success.
One of the biggest reasons why she became a teacher here at Rosemont is because she likes the Dual Language Immersion program. Seeing the students facing and overcoming challenges and enjoying the Japanese language is also one of the reasons why she likes being a teacher. She takes interest in making students progress and improve.
She explained that her favorite part about working at Rosemont are the great co-workers, students, and community. As a teacher, she wants to be a role model for the students and help instill them with motivation to learn. One of her tips to develop and be a good student is to pay attention and always ask questions when they are curious or don’t understand something. With Mrs. Tanabe’s passion to motivate students, enjoying and learning Japanese is a piece of cake.
