At the concerts, they switched between Kia Forum and Intuit Dome artists on the big screens so people could feel like they were at two concerts at once. Green Day kicked it off at the Kia Forum dueting ”Last Night on Earth” with Billie Eilish.
After every two or so artists they stopped to talk about people who had lost their homes in the fire, showing videos and even having them speak on stage. The whole performance was very fire centered, and they made sure to keep the focus on who they were raising money for, every artist had something heartwarming and inspiring to say to the people who have lost their homes. Owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, Steve Ballmer, even agreed to match all the live donations, doubling the amount of money they raised. John Mayer, a performer at the Kia Forum said on Instagram, “It’s an honor to be in a position to help a cause as important as rebuilding lives and communities that were devastated by wildfires.”
They had many guest singers and speakers, including Samuel L. Jackson, Miles Teller, Quinta Brunson, and Billy Crystal. Kamala Harris was even spotted in the audience. At the end of the night, Lady GaGa ended with the song she created just for the show and fire victims, “All I Need Is Time”
