Tyler, The Creator’s new album, “Chromakopia” was released on Oct. 28, 2024. This album describes Tyler’s fear of adulthood and his experience. The song has many viral features with people such as Daniel Caesar, Lil Wayne, Sexyy Red, and GloRilla. Many viral songs have been such as St. Chroma, Darling, I, and Like Him.
Tyler has had many successful albums and songs such as “Igor”, “Flower Boy”, and “Goblin”. Some viral songs from before have been “See You Again”, “Are We Still Friends”, and “She”. He has won many Grammys and awards before such as 3 Rap Album Grammys, Best Album, and Best Melodic Rap Performance.
One of the songs on this album is “St. Chroma,” which features Daniel Caesar and describes the album’s masked central character, Saint Chroma. This shows a more free side of Tyler in both his art and mental health, and Saint Chroma has a mask on which is later revealed to be Tyler.
Another song on this album is “Darling, I”. This song is about love and the fear of being with someone forever. “Like Him”, another song on the album, talks about Tyler’s emotional ties to the absence of his father. It also reveals a voice memo of his mother talking about how Tyler’s father didn’t want to leave but his mother was young and misunderstood.
