The second and last CJSF meeting of the school year took place on Friday, April 12, 2024. CJSF, the California Junior Scholarship Federation, is an organization that helps middle school students, including RMS students, earn community service hours. Not all CJSF members attended the meeting since many people attended the other meeting on February 9. However, Mrs. Avery, Mrs. Kracker, and the CJSF staff attended the meeting. The meeting itself was very short. Ms. Kracker shared how well CJSF has been doing before explaining the next service event. Students were asked to make detailed positive comments on seven post-it notes, for each of their teachers. Most of the time was spent with students going around campus, sticking their post-it notes on their teachers’ doors. Students formed a line around the CJSF staff members to get service credit for this event and to get tape for their sticky notes. Overall, it was a very productive meeting, because students got another service event down!
