Today, January 25th, 2023, also happens to be Opposite Day! No, that day isn’t just made up by kids, it’s an actual National Day. Any no is a yes, and any yes is a no. Breakfast is dinner and dinner is breakfast. Everything is its opposite, and at any point in the day, you can take advantage of doing things the opposite way and having an excuse (obviously for less important things, not tests, nor anything jeopardizing anyone’s safety).
Opposite Day began as a children’s playground game. Beginning in the early 1900s, kids would have fun saying the opposite of what they meant and then pretending it was “Opposite Day.” Today, it is very rarely treated as a National Day, and is seldom recognized as real. Be the change, if you will, and celebrate today as Opposite Day, instead of a regular thursday.

If it is opposite day today, then don’t you mean it is not opposite day?
