The Promise is Showing in Mr. Grant’s Class!
This week, in Mr. Grant’s class, a movie called The Promise will be shown every day at lunch. In order to watch the movie, students have to have a permission slip signed by their parents. Only the first 50 kids to bring in their permission slips will be able to watch the movie because there is limited room in the classroom. The purpose of showing the movie is to raise awareness about the Armenian Genocide.
The movie covers a multi-perspective view during the Armenian Genocide and during the last days of the Ottoman Empire. It is rated PG-13 for some sexuality, disturbing images, thematic material, and violence. It is very highly recommended for learning and enjoyment purposes. Enjoy the show!
