Ms. Robinson is the new Rosemont librarian, taking on after her mom. She’s been here for only a month and takes pride in the fact that she continues her mom’s legacy who was the former librarian. When Ms. Robinson graduated from Crescenta Valley highschool in 2001, she went straight to work at the Glendale Library as part of the Arts and Culture team. She worked as a library page. A library page is the person who reshelves books and they keep items in the right order.
When asked why a library job, Ms. Robinson said, “I kind of fell into it, I like to read and like working with kids. It’s a family thing.” Then, in 2007, Ms. Robinson worked at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School as the librarian for fifteen years. This year she came to Rosemont to replace her mom who retired. Many differences between the schools were that the students of a middle school don’t use the library as often. Also, since Franklin was a magnet school they had a bunch of different language books.
When she is not working as our librarian, she has many fun hobbies in store. In her free time, Ms. Robinson likes to go on hikes with her dog Pita. During the summer, you can find her waterskiing in Sacramento at a place called the Delta. If you have any problems with your chromebook or want to check out a book, go to the library during lunch or snack!
