Movie Review: Top Gun Maverick
Movie Review of “Top Gun: Maverick” Although Top Gun: Maverick has been released in theaters for a couple of months, it has just been released to streaming platforms, so Spartan Scroll critics decided to review this popular, and expensive movie. ⭐Spoilers Included⭐ Top Gun: Maverick is the sequel to the original Top Gun movie made in 1986. In the first Top Gun Movie, the main character call sign Maverick’s best friend and Co-Pilot dies in a tragic accident where the plane malfunctioned and killed him tragically. The whole rest of the movie is Maverick trying to cope with the grief as he feels that it was his fault Goose died. In the 2022 Movie we see Maverick (Pete Mitchel) 35 years later as a top gun instructor. We see him navigate the challenges of seeing his old partner Goose’s son. Trying to let go of the past and to just focus on teaching. The mission is to have them bomb an unsanctioned Uranium Plant. Some of the best parts of the movie include the fighter jet scenes. In the first movie, there were a few good scenes of the planes dog fighting, however in the newer movie, the camera work was incredible. They really showed in detail the capabilities of their stunt pilots, and did some great work filming landings and take offs, really capturing the energy of these planes.
