Wandering around Rosemont, you may have seen posters in the hallways with a Mickey Mouse outline, introducing a new club in our school. Every other Thursday at lunch, people gather in room 1201 (which is Mr. Andreas’s classroom) for the Rosemont Disney Club. According to one of the leaders of the Disney Club, Melanie Cady, “The Disney Club was started by a group of us who all share a passion for disney. All of us grew up on all of the wonderful movies and shows. We wanted to create a community where we could share our love for Disney.”
“I heard about it in the morning announcements and was intrigued because Mr. Andreas hosted it in his room. I decided to go when I heard my friends were,” said Violet Simpson. “On the first day of Disney Club, we played a game where we had to guess the character by a very zoomed-in photo.” In the Disney Club, you can expect to watch Disney movies, have fun contests, play disney trivia, and receive lots of candy.
“The Disney Club is home to any person even if they don’t like Disney! Everyone is welcome!” says Melanie Cady. So, if you hear that the club is meeting on the morning announcements, you are always welcome to stop by!”
