For Black History Month, Snoop Dogg was chosen to be one of the 4 famous Californians featured on the Spartan Scroll. Snoop Dogg was born on October 20, 1971 in Long Beach, California. He attended Compton College. Snoop Dogg is also an entrepreneur and musician. He made his debut album, “Over the Counter ” in 1991. He has created 5 businesses in the past 18 years. They are called Broadus Foods, Indoggo, Snoopify App, Snoopadelic Films, and Leafs by Snoop.
Snoop Dogg has 98 award nominations, and 27 wins. He has done charity work for many foundations such as Make-A-Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Save a Life Foundation, and Voices Against Violence. He is sometimes referred to as the “icon of gangsta rap” and was once called “The King of the West Coast.” Snoop Dogg is a advocate for canabis on a personal level. Snoop Dogg performed in the 2022 Super Bowl LVI along with Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blidge, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar. These are the reasons we appreciate Snoop Dogg and his contributions to society.
