Last Monday during first period, the Patriot Parade took place outside of campus and celebrated the heroic first responders of our nation. Each year, La Crescenta and La Canada hosted a remembrance motorcade around the area to commemorate those who died in the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks. During the parade, numerous cars and other vehicles passed by, waving to students, while driving up to Rosemont. There were cars from the local sheriff station, the La Crescenta search and rescue station, fire trucks, and other first responders. Students watched and cheered, waving American flags at the cars as they passed. Mrs. Kracker’s first period class even made posters to show their appreciation for the first responders. One police officer thanked all of the students for coming out and wished Rosemont a great morning. Overall, the parade was a success and many students enjoyed it as well as showing pride for their country.
