Wellness Tip 6
Whenever you watch a show, Play a video game, or text with friends you are on your screen, screens can have some benefits such as long-distance calling and quick and free message delivery. Screens have given so many people access to information, news, entertainment, and communication, and probably is one of our world’s greatest inventions. But too much screen time can lead to many negative problems too, such as sleep problems, anxiety, depression, low test scores, and headaches. Many teenagers and young adults spend huge amounts of time on their screens and barely think about the consequences. Doctors recommend no more than 2 hours of screen time a day, and at least an hour before bedtime. However, this may seem hard for some kids, but they should still keep in mind to try and limit screen time. You could read a book, play a game, take a walk, and so much more. As long as you remember to not spend too much time online.
