Builders Club Gratitude Chain
Builders Club Schoolwide Gratitude Chain
What is Gratitude? According to https://kidshealth.org/en/teens/gratitude.html,” Gratitude is pausing to notice and appreciate the things that we often take for granted, like having a place to live, food, clean water, friends, family, even computer access. It’s taking a moment to reflect on how fortunate we are when something good happens — whether it’s a small thing or a big thing.”
Members of Builders Club wanted others to reflect on what they are grateful for so, they set up a table in the amphitheater so students could write down what they are grateful for.
Their goal was to create a gratitude chain long enough to hang on the blue gates in front of the school. When asked about the importance of the gratitude chain Sarah Ortiz (a member of Builders Club) stated, ”It’s important because we need to remember how much we have and how much we have to be grateful for.” Even though builders club didn’t reach their goal of making a chain long enough to stretch across the entire blue gate their wonderful chain still inspires many people to take a moment of their day to appreciate the wonderful things in life that are often overlooked!
So, what are you grateful for?
