The MLB Spring Training is underway. MLB Spring Training is a time for Minor and Major League players to practice their skills and showcase their worth. Some players are trying to make the opening day roster for their respective MLB affiliate team, such as Single-A, Double-A, and Triple-A players, while others existing MLB players are taking time to prepare for the long, 162 game season (excluding playoffs). For most players, Spring Training is one of the only times to really impress the manager and get the call-up, excluding minors. Most teams can scout their players and see if they can help their future plans for the team to achieve success in the long future. These Spring Training games are good for local and neutral fans to attend, by watching some baseball and enjoying the fresh sun. All 32 MLB teams participate in these exhibition games, usually played everyday, so don’t worry, you can catch a glimpse of your team, multiple times. If a player is “slumping”, they can take time to reflect on their struggles and get back to their usual form through Spring Training. Although Spring Training games don’t really count towards anything and do not really matter, it is a good time to preview how the players are doing this year to get a feel on how they will perform when the real season is underway. Also, fans can now enjoy baseball after a long wait of no baseball, since October.
