Black History Month
Every February, Black History Month is celebrated all throughout America. We celebrate Black History Month to highlight all of the achievements that African Americans have accomplished, despite racism. Many people have lost their lives due to racism and unequal treatment. Despite these hardships African Americans have had great contributions to our country.
This month the Spartan Scroll will come out with a series of articles about different African Americans that have impacted our country. More specifically, our state. Everyone that will be written about has a strong connection to California. All of these celebrities have had a positive impact on our country.
